Dr Das’s research domain spans across the areas of cancer biology, genomics, radiation biology, and the development of targeted strategies for cancer therapy and diagnosis. The research areas cover the roles of miRNAs, exosomes, and cell-free DNA as therapeutic modulators and the identification of non-invasive biomarkers for advanced precision oncology. The topics include-
- Application of advanced drug encapsulation strategies for cancer diagnosis and treatment which involves nano and bio inspired delivery systems to enhance therapeutic efficacy, stability, and targeted delivery of anticancer agents.
- Understanding the role of microRNAs (miRNAs) and exosomes in cancer progression, treatment response, and intercellular communication.
- Investigation of circulating biomarkers, including exosome-associated cargos and cell-free DNA, for their potential in non-invasive cancer diagnosis, prognosis, and monitoring of therapeutic outcomes.
- Exploration of molecular mechanisms of radiation bystander effect in radioresistant paradox.
