Dr. Chatterjee’s research work dealt with the unique physical properties of Heusler and magnetic equiatomic alloys and some other related materials with a particular focus on the effect of the first order magnetostructural transition on the electronic and magnetic state of the materials. The present research activity involves -
- Magneto-structural instability in magnetic equiatomic and other transition metal-based alloys having a first-order structural transition
- Giant Magnetoresistive and Magnetocaloric materials.
- Magnetic structure determination through neutron diffraction studies.
- Electronic phase separation in transition metal oxides.
